Moroccan Inspired Elie Tahari Resort Collection 2012

The fact that Elie Tahari comes from the East has a beneficial effect on majority of his collections and Resort Collection 2012 is a prof for that. This time the renowned designer found inspiration in the culture of the Middle East – Morocco. Elements of the East are seen primarily in accessories: elegant white turbans, caftans and shoes with playful coins or a kind of plated tracery around the ankle. And the colors are so bright that it’s hard to omit them: deep blue, coral, golden yellow delicately combined with show-white and camel colors.

One can’t help but fall in love with any piece from this collection, where there are a lot of delightful outfits anyone would like to try on. What you see there is a perfect balance of colors, shapes and combinations of nice, rich clothes with amazing accessories. The collection is elegant and fresh, feminine and very comfortable.

My favorite piece (and not only mine I think) is a column dress with a breath-taking filigree embroidery and a high-thing slit. It’s very sensual and is perfect for the romantic evening when you can be a seducing princess at least for a while. It really looks like a royal attire. But seeing once is better than hearing twice, so enjoy the pictures:

Elie Tahari at The Red Carpet Night in Qatar

The Red carpet events are usually associated with Hollywood and awards. But not only. The event is also a sought-after affair among fashionistas, who are longing to see the latest trends in fashion right on the celebrated models. Now it becomes clear why Salam Stores and German business council Qatar decided to pick the name “The Red Carpet Night” for their fashion show to promote summer collection of renowned fashion designers. Guess what? The brand of Elie Tahari was also showcased there.

Predictably, there were known fashion experts and VIP personalities among the guest on the party at the W Doha hotel. The visitors had a chance to enjoy the show in relaxed atmosphere and have a closer look at latest tendencies in high end fashion. Actually, the brands presented there are not many yet world-known: Just Cavalli, Givenchy, Mathew Williamson, Hugo Boss, Catherine Malandrino, Paul & Shark and as I said Elie Tahari. The show was held under the slogan “Defying Dull – The Spirit of Rebellion”. Indeed, the colors, designs and fabrics for this season are bold and explicit. Tahari, for example, has a wide range of options starting from striking gold colors to nude neutral shades. With this in mind, the show had positive results and raise high interest to these brands and high fashion in particular, so that the sponsors decided to arrange it on a regular basis, at least once in a year. Personally I am happy Elie Tahari has a wide chain of stores and outlets all over the world. I think his clothes is stylish and quite affordable (especially when bought on sale); nice that Qatar women can enjoy it too.

Swimsuits 2011. Be Trendy This Summer!

Major trends in swimsuits for Summer 2011 were determined by retro styles of the 60s and 70s. So, here we have vintage glamour, which is currently seen in any swimsuit item offered by fashionable designers this season, that reminds of Brigitte Bardot and Jerry Hall, who wore those incredible outfits.

Super stylish models this summer are one-piece swimsuits in retro style, the one you could see in the collection of Marc by Marc Jacobs. A long-forgotten strap is coming back from the 50s just to emphasize the waist. Decorative buttons are also the latest trend. DNKY made their accent on asymmetrical design: there are one-shouldered pieces trimmed by flirty frills and eye-catching floral prints.

Woman’s Shirts 2011 are All the Rage!

Posted by writer | Tahari accessories |

Shirts of 2011 are even more seductive than lacy stockings! Feminine style is not in fashion today, therefore outfits from “the male wardrobe” this season look more romantic than the most delicate clothing. If you don’t feel like to believe this, then you should better try on a shirt from summer collection 2011 to see that it can be turned into a true “weapon of seduction” when worn by women.

Shirt in one form or another is seen in the collections of both renowned fashion designers and democratic brands. It’s a usual thing to find woman’s shirt among such brands as Dsquared2 or Ralph Lauren, it seems they love women dressed in man’s clothes. But it’s quite unexpected to see romantic Dries Van Noten or Jason Wu offering gentleman details for woman’s attire. Brands like H&M, Zara and Bershka aim to please you with floral and cowboy shirts. You will find that Max&Co offers to wear chiffon dresses complemented with a woman shirt tied on waist rather than a pathetic jacket – welcome back to the 80’s. (more…)
